Hi Jane,

I saw your blog post about your new class and I am very interested. I met you when you taught in Sisters two summers ago and I gave you those little wooden birds. Anyway, I will be out of the country until April 14 and was unsure about signing up since I won’t be here for the beginning. I just began an etsy site for my patterns and I have a blog and a website although the website never gets hits. Please let me know what you recommend. Should I wait for you to teach a second round? Do a private lesson with you? Other ideas?

Thanks,

Karen

Jane, how do your online classes work? Please give me a run down if you wouldn't mind. :) Do they run from your site, another site? Email? Thanks!

Stephanie:
On each of the six Mondays you will receive an email with the PDF lesson and worksheet for the week. The interactive part of the class will mainly be run from a private blog where everyone registered for class will have the opportunity to see the lessons in visual form, anyone comfortable with having the work they're doing for class will have it posted, and comments on each lesson will be highly encouraged to foster discussion, brainstorming and feedback.

The blog will have updates from me, relevant to that week's lesson, every weekday and I will be available for email consultation and help during the entire 6 weeks. The blog will remain available for three weeks after class has finished.

The PDFs and worksheets will help you focus on your own specific goals and the steps you will be taking to attain them, while the blog will help you track your progress, and your fellow students', with our real-life examples.

Please let me know if you need more info!

Hi Jane,
I participated in the chat forum when you were interviewed by Susan Sorrell on her Creative Chick NING site, and I am very happy that you will be leading this online class.
I enrolled this morning and look forward to participating from Nova Scotia, Canada!

Hi Jane,
I would so love to sign up for this class - it sounds like just what I need - but the timing is bad for me. Do you think you will be offering it again, or would you recommend that I sign up and be an "observer" and work with the materials when I'm able to focus more?
I'll be preparing for and going on a trip during that time period.
Thanks.
Really love your work and have one of your books!

Judy:
I will probably offer it again, but it will be at least the fall before I do. It's totally up to you whether you want to take it now or later. You could observe the lessons when you're busier and jump in on the lessons when you have more time. I'm flexible. :)

Jane, I found you and this fantastic online workshop via my art teacher / mentor / friend ... Jane LaFazio. I can hardly believe the serendipitous nature of this "finding". :-) I'll be signing up ASAP, and I look forward to the adventure. Best to you -- Davielle in California

I have been hesitant to sign up. I have been sewing for a number of years and in the arts for longer; but I have not really developed a large body of fiber work which I am most interested in. I have been more consistent with my work habits, but don't know if I will be in over my head. Am I too new to the fiber art world to be taking this class? I am hoping it will give me the info to keep moving as I develop more work.
thanks,
Karen

Hi Jane, I'm late signing up but I'm excited to get started. My paypal account uses a different email address, so I'll wait and see how class information is sent to me. Can't wait to see what you have in store for all of us! ;~) Chris
